Tailgate Market 10-19

Community Collaborators

The Black Mountain Tailgate Market is a producer-only market with 19 member vendors and a community-led board of directors. The market hosts over 100 local vendors and collaborating non-profit organizations, serving an average of over 1,500 market-goers each Saturday morning!

This year, we are delighted to have a dedicated space for non-profit organizations at the entrance of our Main Season Market location.  Non-profits can often be present for informational purposes, educational materials, or to promote their organization's mission.

Criteria for participation:

  • Application and Approval:
BMTM requires non-profits to complete a vendor application, which involves providing information about the organization, its mission, and the nature of its activities at the market
  • Time and Location:
Representatives of collaborating organizations must arrive at the market before 8:15 AM, set up their table and/or tent, and ensure it's ready by market opening at 9 AM!
  • Non-Intrusive Behavior:
Collaborating organizations are generally expected to be low-key, not intrusive, and avoid aggressive solicitation.
  • No Direct Sales:
Unless approved by BMTM management, non-profits are restricted from making direct sales of goods or services.
  • Compliance with Local Regulations:
Non-profit Organizations must adhere to all applicable local health and safety regulations, particularly if they are handling food or other products.
  • Insurance and Permits:
Depending on the activities, non-profits might be required to provide proof of liability insurance and obtain necessary permits or licenses from the relevant authorities.
  • Market Rules and Regulations:
Adherence to the basics of BMTM's VENDOR POLICIES and our code of conduct is essential to the harmonious, vibrant gathering space we co-create each Saturday morning.

To reserve a space, we ask that each organization fill out the form below:
