Become A Vendor

The Black Mountain Tailgate Market is a producer only member-run market with 21 member vendors and a board of directors. Our 2024 Market Season runs from May 4th to November 16th. 

 Cost of Attendance for Day Vendors:
  • $20 non-refundable application, promotion, and orientation fee (billed with first market in attendance).
  • $30 for one booth space (processing fees apply), per each Market. 

Day Vendors will be billed one week prior to market in accordance with the approved dates. Approved regular Day Vendors will be billed in batches via square, and must pay in advance no later than the Monday before the scheduled Saturday Market.

New and returning vendors may apply via online form while we continue to work on the website.

2024 Market Season

  • Our THIRTIETH SEASON runs from May 4th–November 16th

  • The Saturday market will be located at 130 Montreat Rd, just behind First Baptist Church

Our market will host over 50 Vendors and collaborating non-profit organizations, serving over 1,200 market goers each Saturday morning! This year, we are delighted to feature:

  • robust food access programs
  • live local music
  • art activations
  • culinary demonstrations
  • children's activities

With an array of locally grown produce, humanely raised proteins, artisan goods, and a myriad of local artists and makers, we are proud to bring the finest and freshest foods and the friendliest faces together in a beautiful green space just north of the Heart of Black Mountain.

Vendor Information


Saturday Market hours are 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and set up begins at 7:30 a.m.


Spaces are 10'x10' and setups are vendor-provided. Tents must be weighed down by at least 80 lbs. (20 lbs. on each leg.)


All products sold at the market must be made/grown/raised by the person selling them. No reselling is allowed.


Vendors are responsible for maintaining liability insurance appropriate for their products and for remitting sales taxes to the NC Dept. of Revenue.
