You probably already know that it takes a great deal of hard work, coordination, and dedication to make the Black Mountain Tailgate Market happen every week. While we are governed by a Volunteer Board of Directors, BMTM maintains staff to run the market and has ongoing expenses for our lease, insurance, and critical programming like community outreach, food access programs, special events and a paid platform for talented local musicians.

Individual donations and business sponsorships help us increase our impact on the local community in several positive ways, including but not limited to:

Providing a reasonably priced platform for local, family owned and operated farms and artisans.
Expanding our educational programs relating to food and environmental sustainability, healthy living, nutrition and the farm-to-table movement through cooking demonstrations and multi-sensory activities.
Supporting local farms and artisans through culinary demonstrations, tastings, and our Farm & Food Buyback Program.
Facilitating local foods to vulnerable members of our community through SNAP/EBT and incentives, Farm Fresh Produce Prescriptions, and the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program.
